Roots Starters:Comparing Cubes: Learn to find the cube root of a number to solve this problem comparing volumes given in different units. Consecutive: Three consecutive numbers multiplied together give a given product. Students are asked to figure out what the numbers are. Notes:Pupils should learn how to find real roots associated with integer powers (square root, cube root and higher). They should also learn to distinguish between exact representations of roots and their decimal approximations. Just how do you find the cube root of a number?
